Pyrrolidine, also known as tetrahydropyrrole, is a saturated five-membered heterocyclic ring, which is miscible with water. Pyrrolidine exists in many alkaloids and drug molecules, such as kappa opioids, antagonists of dopamine D4 receptors, and HIV reverse transcriptase inhibitors.
The imidazothiazole, consisting of an imidazole ring fused with a thiazole ring, has been reported to have excellent immunostimulating and anti-inflammatory activities. Fused heterocyclic compounds are of great importance and are found in various types of synthetic and naturally occurring biologically important compounds.
